Burundian army officers visit

KIGALI - A delegation of twenty two Senior Officers from the Burundi army are in the country for a four-day study tour to have a glimpse of Rwanda’s achievements and also familiarize themselves with the country.

KIGALI - A delegation of twenty two Senior Officers from the Burundi army are in the country for a four-day study tour to have a glimpse of Rwanda’s achievements and also familiarize themselves with the country.

According to the Military spokesman, Maj. Jill Rutaremara, the Burundian delegation headed by Brig. Gen. Diomède Ndegeya is scheduled to meet with the Rwanda Chief of General Staff Gen. James Kabarebe.

Rutaremara also said that the delegation is in the country to enhance relations between the two sister army forces.

The 22-man delegation will also visit two Rwanda Military Academy (s) of Gako and Nyakinama were they will hold talks with army officers.

During their visit, the Burundian delegation will also visit the National Unity and Reconciliation Commission (NURC), to listen to Rwanda’s success story of Unity and reconciliation, and the Economic Community of the Great Lakes Countries (CEPGL) offices in Kigali.

Rutaremara further revealed that the delegation will visit a military bank, Zigama-Credit and Savings Scheme (CSS), and Gisozi Genocide Memorial Centre and thereafter visit Brasseries et Limonaderies du Rwanda (Bralirwa) and the Methane Gas plant in northern province.
