Monopoly in the education system is ill advised

Editor, this is a terrible and ill informed idea. Rwanda is a small country that is growing and doing so impressively. The attempt to create a monopoly in the education system is ill advised. Monopolies tend to have numerous inefficiencies as they have no competitors.

Editor,

This is a terrible and ill informed idea. Rwanda is a small country that is growing and doing so impressively. The attempt to create a monopoly in the education system is ill advised. Monopolies tend to have numerous inefficiencies as they have no competitors.

For vibrancy in the education system in a young economy such as Rwanda, there is need for competition and this is achievable with more colleges competing against each other for educational improvement.

I come from a country where there over 22 government owned universities and countless private universities. They have greatly contributed to the education system through competition for quality, research and student development.
