KCC’s Zaki scores maiden T20 century

Kigali Cricket Club’s skipper Hassan Zaki set a new record by becoming the first local cricketer to score a century on Rwandan soil in the ongoing UAE EXCHANGE & XPRESS MONEY T20 league.

The two put up a spirited show hitting over 100 runs in just 8 overs but both later fell to the good bowling of Asif Jaka.Right Guards CC bowler Hirwa Alain Dube, who took 3 wickets, said, "Our bowlers bowled very badly today, giving so many extras and short balls. I kept my line and length and forced Zaki to make a mistake and finally got him out.”KCC’s blowers Asif Jaka and Harish Patel got 3 and 5 wickets respectively.In the other game, Challengers Cricket Club (CCC) beat Indorwa CC by 1 wicket. Mehbub Shaikh did the greatest damage to Indorwa batsmen by getting 4 wickets.In the women’s league, White Clouds CC finally got their winning ways back when they beat archrivals Kigali Angels CC by 41 runs. WCCC batted first and scored 169/6 with Mary Maina (40 runs) and Betty Mukunzi (39 runs) being the top scorers.
