To celebrate 15 years as a media personality Ally Soudy, on Saturday, August 5, hosted his first live show dubbed ‘Ally Sound and Friends Live Show’ at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (KCEV), bringing together many celebrities, especially those in the entertainment industry.

Prior to the event's official opening, the DJ entertained the audience with some mixes, while the band welcomed everyone with some instruments. A documentary titled ‘15Years of Odyssey’ curated by Felicien Gato Manzi was played where Sandrine Isheja Butera, Juno Kizigenza, Nizo Kaboss, Emma Claudine, Ziggy55, Jean Rambert Gatare and Aliah Cool talked about their professional relationship with Ally Soudy and how he played a huge part in their growth.

At 9PM, the CEO of RG Consult Inc, Remmy Lubega introduced Ally Soudy, who came on stage clad in a red and black suit.

The Magic Guards duo from Burundi surprised everyone with magic that got the audience hooked. After the magicians, it was Rumaga’s turn to engage people in traditional folktales.

Soudy later hosted Nyambo Jessica, Killerman, Soloba and Dr Nsabi to talk about their acting journey and they all were challenged to do impromptu acting.

B-Threy then entertained the revelers and later explained that KinyaTrap is all about the music of discipline and the nature of Kinyarwanda.

Later, Dj Dizzo was called on stage as proof of a Godly living miracle. He shared his testimony and said that God is Almighty.

Back to music, Platini hit the stage with dancers and performed 'Shumuleta', 'Icupa' and 'Slay Maman' which he dedicated to Kigali Boss Babes. Knowless joined him on the podium and questioned him, "Platini, how do you feel?" Ally Soudy also asked him "Why did you do 'Icupa'?” To both, Platini responded, "I am very well, and I did ‘Icupa’ after realizing that as young people we find beer as the only trusted friend to rely on.”

Singer Bwiza also got a chance to talk about her album and she disclosed that the major song on her album ‘My Dream’ is a song she did for his future husband.

Comedian Patrick Rusine also cracked some jokes about almost every celebrity in the room. Fally Merci joined him on stage for some jokes and expressed his gratitude to everyone who has been supporting Genz Comedy, including Ally Soudy.

"Such a hard but sweet journey that I won’t get tired of,’ he said and then delivered a live performance of 'Wirira', 'Rwagihuta', 'Fourteen-Turatashye' and 'Araje'. The host then surprised him with a Special Recognition Award for all he has done in music.

Dumbfounded, Massamba reacted, "I am still strong and grateful that Gakondo is doing well so far. I will keep on doing all I can to keep this legacy. Thanks a lot for this amazing award."

Abdoul Makanyaga was also called on stage and he immediately performed live ‘Hashize Iminsi’ and that more than 50 years jubilee in music is such a massive triumph. He suggested having some young people who may step into his footprints. While still there, he was also given a Special Recognition Award from Ally Souddy and the spectators stood up in respect. "This is my first time receiving any award since I started doing music. It has been more than 50 years and I have never got any award until tonight. Special thanks to whoever thought of this," said Makanyaga.

Among the audience, there were fans who were requesting to see the Kigali Boss Babes (KBBs) on stage, they were introduced and they announced that they just received a new member in the crew. Mico The Best and Uncle Austin joined them and played a game against each other, teaming with the KBBs.

Uncle Austin, the winner, was awarded with a brand new iPhone 11 Pro Max. He said, "With all the respect that I have for the entire music industry and the expertise I have gotten, I would like to give that new iPhone to the legend alive, Makanyaga Abdul.” He then handed the iPhone to Makanyaga.

Uncle Austin then led the audience into paying tribute to the late Junior Multi Systema and with Mico The Best, they performed some of their songs produced by Junior.

Burundian fast-rising artiste Drama T went on and did a freestyle performance until the show closed at 00:20.
