Editor,I was a believer at some point in life and much like all true Atheists I found myself with more questions than answers after carefully reviewing much of all these holy books.I then turned to science and quickly started to realise that a lot of the extraordinary phenomenon occurring in life weren’t that mind blowing but simply natural occurrences that were lost to our ancestors due to...well, simply ignorance.I completely disagree with Pastor Richard Gasana with his contention that somehow rejecting religion is a result of unfortunate experiences with the clergy. Well that, and the fact that the very foundation of that clergy is a fallacy, a myth.I’m glad to hear that my fellow Rwandans are seeing the truth, however few they may be.Shabaka, Toronto, CanadaReaction to the story, "Is religion losing ground to atheism?”, (Society Magazine, August 23)
