Former Amagaju FC striker Jean Bosco Gasana has signed a one-year contract for 2013 Peace Cup against Malaria semifinalists AS Muhanga from Djibouti side AS Ports. The 26-year old, who left Rwanda for Djibouti from Kiyovu SC in 2011, was instrumental in AS Ports’ relative success over the last years. He helped them win the Djibouti premier league title and reach quarter-finals of this year’s Cecafa Kagame Cup in Sudan. The one-time capped Rwandan international turned down offers from his former club Kiyovu, preferring a reunion with his former coach at Amagaju, Ali Bizimungu.Gasana confirmed the transfer, saying, "Yes, on Thursday I signed a one-year contract with AS Muhanga. It was not an easy decision though since I had received offers from other league sides.”"A few years ago, I performed well under coach Bizimungu at Amagaju and our past good relationship played a key part in my decision,” he told Times Sport.
