The search for Miss and Mr Kigali Institute of Management, (KIM), 2013 has begun. Rwanda Inspiration Backup, the team organising the Miss and Mr. KIM 2013 competition, has released a shortlist of six beauty queens and five male students, who will contest for the coveted title.

Rwanda Inspiration Backup, the team organising the Miss and Mr. KIM 2013 competition, has released a shortlist of six beauty queens and five male students, who will contest for the coveted title.According to Dieudonné Ishimwe from Rwanda Inspiration Backup, contestants are undergoing training on different aspects like cultural awareness, catwalk, self-expression and creativity to help them get ready for the annual competition.Those contesting for the Miss KIM are; Carine Umuraza, Jenifer Cyuzuzo, Annie Uwamaliya, Emmanuella Ikirezi, Joan Mukamanzi. While Amos Karuhanga, Emma Gahigana, Hakim Mbarushimana, Floris Rutayisire, David Makombe and Fred Baguma are battling it out for the Mr. KIM title. This year’s theme is, ‘Beauty with Dignity’. "We’re really excited about this year’s pageant. Preparations are already under way to make it an electrifying and memorable beauty contest,” said Ishimwe.Ranging from ages 18 to 23, the contestants describe themselves as beautiful, intelligent, sociable, and having the determination to become beauty ambassadors for their university.The young, sophisticated and fabulous women and men are currently undergoing training and mentoring."We are using the experience we got from other universities and institutions to make it big and better” he said.Unveiling of the Miss and Mr. KIM contestants will take place on Saturday, at 6:30pm, at Sports View hotel.In the lead up to the coronation of the new Miss and Mr. KIM, there will be entertainment by different local musicians. Entrance fee will be Rwf1000 for students and Rwf2000 for the public.
