Partygoers are in for a treat this Saturday at Bora Bora Beach on L.Tanganyika in Bujumbura, where seasoned deejays are billed to perform. ‘Happy People’ is one of Kigali’s most popular showbiz events. The organisers have now decided to expand the event, with its first gig in Bujumbura, Burundi.Dubbed, ‘Summer Beach Party’, the third edition of Happy People will see Kenyan VJ Mobi lighten the venue with his energetic performances and spinning skills. He will be joined by Rwandan DJs Karim and Toxxy to spice up the show.Event co-ordinator Aime Crispin, said, "Rwanda and Burundi have a lot in common, especially when it comes to culture. Many Burundians enjoy being here while we also enjoy being at their beaches,” said Crispin. "With these summer beach parties, we want to get the people of these two countries together, celebrate the love between both of us and get to know each other better,” he added.The Saturday party starts at 10pm till dawn and, entrance fee is Bfw10,000 (about Rwf5,000) .
