RWANDA FOOTBALL federation chairman, Celestin Ntagungira ‘Abega’ is eager to put a lot of emphasis on promoting grassroots football, which will be launched today at Ferwafa turf.The event will be held at different grounds across Kigali city after the official launch and according to former Rwanda international referee, the aim is to develop the sport, starting with the young kids, who he says are the future of Rwandan football."Our aim is to promote Rwandan football, thus the need to go across the country scouting for young players who the country will rely on in the future,” he told Saturday Sport.Meanwhile, Ferwafa has plans to use the occasion to introduce indoor football. "We have not been having this format of football in the country, so we need start with these young kids,” Ntagungira said.
