One of Rwanda’s leading artistes is organising a concert for his fans which will bring together a host of music genres.

The show, organised by 25-year-old Mani Martin, takes place at Kigali Serena hotel, on September 1, at 6pm.

The live concert will include different styles like rock, pop, blues, traditional and folk.

Tickets will go for Rwf10,000.

In an interview with The New Times, the "Urukumbuzi” star said that the aim of the concert is to give him an opportunity to bond with his fans following the success of the concert he held last year.

"Preparations for the concert are underway and my fans should expect a great live performance,”

The performing artiste, vocalist, song writer and actor, Mani Martin is currently emerging as one of Rwanda’s strongest live performing acts identified with Afro Soul mixed with traditional music, and sings in Kinyarwanda, Kiswahili, English and French.

Mani Martin, however, is no stranger to the music scene, and has persevered through the murky waters of the music industry to grace festivals and different events with international stars like Ismael Lo Lokua Kanza, Vieux Farka Toure and Femi Nkuti, among others.

Born in Rwanda in 1988, Martin Maniraruta, famous for his stage name of Mani Martin, was the first Rwandan Artiste to perform in one of the biggest African Music Festivals, Sauti Za Busara Zanzibar during its 10th anniversary in 2013.

The "Urukumbuzi” star has a number of awards to his credit, including Best Gospel Artist of the Year 2008 in Salax awards and the 2012 Salax awards for Best Traditional Artiste of the Year.
