Party goers at the first ever Traffic Lights party.

The first Traffic Lights Party kicked off in superb fashion on Saturday night at Club Next in Muhima. All kinds of crazy dance moves were witnessed as DJ Shiru from Uganda spun the hottest tunes from the continent and beyond. The first order of business as soon as the deejay heat up the party zone was the dance floor ofcourse, where Kigali’s party animals danced to great sounds of music.Pretty soon, the dance floor was jam-packed with sweaty, sexy bodies. Party goers donned in party’s theme colours; Red, orange and green, though there are some who opted for other colours. The party started off at 10pm, but many people started flocking in at midnight.Remmylicious Lubega, the organiser of the event, said: "This is a real party and, for sure, it has been well attended being the first time,” He said the event will be organised twice a year, with the aim of bringing together people from across the region to celebrate and entertain themselves. The Traffic Lights Party targets holidaymakers and other party goers  in Kigali."We want to ensure that people come together irrespective of their age and nationality so that we create that togetherness since we are one. The most effective mechanism is to have fun and enjoy together,” Lubega said.It was a memorable Saturday night for those who attended the Traffic Lights Party."The party was awesome and Shiru is an excellent DJ. He knew exactly what the attendees wanted…great music,” said Vicent Ntaganda. DJ Shiru, real name Shiru Kiberu, is a well-known name in Uganda when it comes to entertainment in the music industry and that is no fluke. He has been in the game for 13 years.
