One of Rwanda’s leading bankers, BCR will today fulfill their pledge to the local rugby federation when they unveil rugby jerseys to all local clubs.

The ceremony which is expected to start at 2:30pm at Mburabuturo grounds will open off with a demonstration game between the country’s heavyweights Gorilla and Buffalos.

Gorillas, who are already on course of retaining the league title after last Saturday’s tight 14-13 win over archrivals Buffalos, will be looking for a replica performance.

"The whole point of having the game is to spice up the whole event,” the first vice president of the local rugby federation Alexis Araire said.

After the demonstration game, the bank will then hand over the jerseys to the seven league clubs (Gorillas, Buffalos, Puma, Sharks, Lion de Fers, Simba, and Kaduha Tigers).

NUR Grizzlies will not benefit from BCR’s support after reports that the Grizzlies will be dressed by the university.
"BCR will dress all the other clubs apart from Grizzlies who will be dressed by NUR,” Araire continued.

On top of the clubs, the national men’s rugby team (silverbacks) will be the other beneficiary from the bank.
