Kerala Hunters Cricket Club (KHCC) and Right Guards Cricket Club (RGCC) won their first games in the ongoing UAE Exchange & Xpress Money T20 tournament held over the weekend at Kicukiro oval.The two teams won convincingly and certainly are the teams to watch out for in the tournament.On Sunday morning, Indorwa CC was shocked by KHCC after they chased down their score and made 180 runs in just 15 overs.  Eric Dusabemungu was top scorer for Indorwa after hitting 61 runs. "We had a good start with a run rate of over 7 runs and a worthwhile contribution from mid order batsman Sagar Bhaskaran (53),” said KHCC captain Suveesh Kottemmal. He added that beating Indorwa was an encouragement to his players and they hope to carry on.The afternoon game saw Right Guards CC beating Impala titans by 9 wickets. Impala batted first and put on 148 runs their highest score this year. Thanks to veteran Emmanuel Byiringiro who made 44 runs not out. The right guard’s impenetrable opening pair of Eric Dusingizimana and Joshua Mwanja damaged Impala bowlers to the nerves after they had a long partnership of 131 runs.
