THE National women football championship ends today, a month after their male counterparts’ Primus National League ended.Already crowned champions for the fifth year in a row, the City of Kigali sponsored, AS Kigali host Les Lionnais at Stade de Kigali seeking to win and end the season having dropped just two points from 20 league matches.AS Kigali head coach, Grace Nyinawumuntu told Times Sport in a telephone interview, "We have been consistent this season, winning all but one of our league matches and I hope we will crown off the season with a win for us fans.”"We need to end the season on a high, it would be sad and disappointing if we lose or draw our last match,” she noted.The former Rwanda international team defender thanked the City of Kigali for the support to the team, the club management, her coaching staff, "but most especially my players, who gave everything to retain this title for our fifth consecutive time.” Gisozi-based and second-placed the Winner,s who finished fourth last season, visit bottom side Imirasire at Reggie Kanombe playground. If The Winners collect three points, they would have attained their target to finish as first runners-up.Elsewhere, former champions and third-placed APR will play against Nyarugenge District-sponsored Urumuri at Camp Kigali.
