A piggy bank is a money box. Many times Daddy and Mummy may give you some money to spend. As a child you may not need to use all of it.

Learning how to save can start at an early age. My mother taught me how to save when I was five years old.

Throw some money in the box or any container that you chose to keep, such that one day you can open it and use all the money to buy a big toy car or doll.

A money box can be beautiful and very decorative in fact a parent can buy it in any kind of shape and color. Even though children don’t always understand where money really comes from, they realize at a young age that they can use it to buy the things they want.

Parents should also know that it is important to teach their children how to save, the moment they become interested in money.

Start by introducing a piggy bank so that children can learn how to save for anything they want to buy. As long as a child is given any kind of pocket money they will quickly learn how to save with a piggy bank.
