THE National table tennis federation is organising the third edition of the Genocide memorial tournament scheduled for June 8-9 at Amahoro National Stadium.

This year’s tennis memorial tournament has attracted five local teams. Organisers also expect guest teams from Burundi but these are yet to confirm their participation.

The five local teams include; Delta, National Bank of Rwanda (BNR), Remera, Rafiki and a team made up of Chinese nationals resident in Rwanda.

Table tennis federation’s president, Eugene Semigabo, said yesterday:  "We have not yet identified members of the table tennis fraternity killed during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi but we have started the process.”
