The reigning champions won the encounter 34-29 to move to 15 points, level with APR and two points behind joint table leaders Gicumbi and Kigoma.

Title defenders Police handball club beat military side APR this Sunday in a rescheduled league match that was initially supposed to be played on Saturday June 25. The reigning champions won the encounter 34-29 to move to 15 points, level with APR and two points behind joint table leaders Gicumbi and Kigoma.

Albert Sibomana led Police’s assault with a game high seven goals tying with APR’s Celestin Hakizimana from APR. 

Meanwhile, the inaugural Memorial Handball tournament to remember the players, coaches, officials and fans, who were killed during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi is scheduled to take place this coming Sunday at Kimisagara Youth Centre (men), while the women will play at Kigali institute of Education.
