Favourites Kibungo Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Education volleyball club has signed two Rwandan international players to steer their club to success in the Genocide Memorial tournament which starts today.The new signings include; Qatar-based pair of Placide Sibomana ‘Madison’ and Christophe Mukunzi. Head coach Dominique Ntawangundi Sesonga told Times Sport yesterday, "We have signed the pair to help win honours in this tournament. We need to sacrifice all we have in order to be among best in this tournament.” The pair join other experienced players in the club who include; right attacker Fravier Ndamukunda and center Marshal Pierre Kwizera who spent the whole of last year featuring for Algeria first division club Al Mihlia.The pivotal players in the club include; Richard Muhirwa, Elve Kagimbura, Bievenue Biyenzi Williams ‘Songo’ Mudahemuka, Jimmy Rurangwa and Christian Nshingiro.Meanwhile the defending champion, APR is waiting for the Setif Club-based Yakan Guma Laurence and Group Scoraile de Butare youngster Nelson Murangwa to boost their campaign in the two-day tournament.
