Ferwafa push Peace Cup tie

APR vs AS KigaliWednesdayAS Muhanga vs BugeseraTHE national football body, Ferwafa has postponed the second Peace Cup semi final match pitting AS Muhanga against Bugesera to next week.In a statement, Ferwafa said that the match has been re-scheduled to help Muhanga district hold its planned commemoration activities for the 1994 Genocide against Tutsis due Sunday.AS Muhanga which was supposed to play Bugesera this Sunday will play their fixture next week at Stade Muhanga.The Ali Bizimungu led side which will go into this game with a 1-0 goal deficit believes they still have a chance to knock out Bugesera and reach the final for the first time in the club’s history.In the first-leg, Second division side Bugesera beat Primus National League opponents AS Muhanga 1-0 at home with David Nzabanita scoring the lone goal.Meanwhile, defending champions APR Fc face AS Kigali in the second leg on Saturday at Stade de Kigali. They go into the crucial match with a 1-0 advantage of their opponents.A draw or a win will send the military side into the finals of the Peace Cup against Malaria due on July 4.
