The Blues were the dominant force in national football before 1994 and continued to enjoy relative success afterwards until they were dethroned in 2004 by APR as the country’s strongest team. The 26th round of the season will see the blues aiming to finish the season on a succesful note unbeaten in the second leg. Coach Didier Gomes da Rosa cautioned his side to avoid any complaceny and play to win such that they can celebrate their league trophy in style."Even though we have already won the title, we have taken this game seriously and players are ready for the task which is to win and celebrate the trophy in a remarkable style,” added Gomes.Initially, the game was scheduled to be played in Muhanga but Ferwafa moved it to Amahoro stadium. They will be crowned champions no matter the result from the game against Espoir and fans are set to be treated with a classical crowning ceremony with the party set to be extended to the Amahoro indoor stadium.Elsewhere, second-placed Police FC will be up against AS Kigali at Kicukiro turf, while in the battle to avoid relegation; lowly Marines host mid table side La Jeunesse at Umuganda stadium.Thirteen-time league winners APR will meet struggling Etincelles at Stade de Kigali, Nyamirambo, while already relegated Isonga FC will play against Muhanga.Marines (21 points) will need only point to stay in Primus league and if Etincelles (18 points) lose to APR but a win for Etincelles and defeat for Marines will see them drop to the second division.
