Moyes will struggle to fit in Fergie shoes

In many aspects, it’s not bad to make comparisons but difficult managerial times could be spreading around Manchester now that Sir Alex Ferguson has retired and old Trafford fans could soon taste the worst possible managerial times.I do not mean David Moyes is a bad manager, actually based on his achievements at Everton; he could be ranked as an average coach in Europe but not England. It is very wrong to compare a lion to a fox. Sir Alex Ferguson was a single beard lion who used to hunt trophies in England and Europe unlike his successor Moyes, who in 11 years at Everton did not win anything.Ferguson made Manchester United one of the most feared and consistent teams in UEFA Champions League. He has won many trophies in England in almost 27 years as United manager, he leaves when the Red Devils are on top of the English game.He is now gone and replaced by a man, who has not won anything as a manger apart from qualifying Everton for the Uefa Champions league once.It is not easy to qualify for the Champions League as it is the wish for any manager, most of whom have had more money to spend than Moyes but one has to show the willingness to bring up his head amongst the best on the continent. The fact that Moyes has not tried this during his time at Everton, I strongly believe he would struggle during his time at old Trafford. Though there is no money to attract best players at Everton like at big clubs in the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City, Everton do posses facilities that can attract and develop talented youngsters admired in England and around Europe. But let’s keep our fingers crossed to see what might inspire the new United boss. At Manchester United, there is money to buy and attract good players. Unlike in the past, today money has shown limited potential to buy success and trophies at the club with Manchester City and Chelsea being the obvious examples in England. There have been talks of naming a United legendary player as assistant to Moyes. Roy Keane, who was one of the longest serving United captains, has had a go at management at Ipswich Town and Sunderland but with no potential to inherit from his former boss at OT.Let not forget, there has not been so much uncertainty around Old Trafford in a very long time, so Moyes could be given as much time as he needs to be able to fill in the shoes of Sir Alex Ferguson.First of all, he needs a good summer and a good start to the season, and whilst he may need to consult Sir Alex on several occasions and in private, he must look to escape from his shadow in public. He must establish his authority and be his own man, rather than trying to do his best to be Sir Alex Ferguson.
