The City of Kigali sponsored side have made the league their own, having the last four titles in a row and one win away from adding a fifth. The reigning champions host bottom Urumuri at Stadede Kigali in Nyamirambo, seeking to wrap up the title with three rounds of matches remaining in a season they (AS Kigali) have been dominated. However, Grace Nyinwawumuntu’s team will be without two key players Nadia Uwineza and Ottilie Dusingizimana, who picked slight injuries from the previous match. AS Kigali have won the first 15 league matches without dropping a single point.The head of women football department in Ferwafa, Félicité Rwemalika attributed AS Kigali’s dorminance to a good coach and support from City of Kigali (CoK). "I think it’s because they are well sustained by the City of Kigali and they have got a well qualified and experienced coach (Nyanawumuntu),” noted Rwemalika.  As it stands, AS Kigali leads the table with 45 points, followed by The Winners, who are tied on 33 ponts with third-placed Kamonyi.
