Rwandan artistes pay tribute to Bob Marley

This weekend happens to be another day to celebrate the life of Bob Marley, one of the greatest musicians that ever lived. With his legacy, the world celebrates May 11, the day Marley died. And in that regard, local artistes have organised a concert for all Reggae fans at One Love bar.

This weekend happens to be another day to celebrate the life of Bob Marley, one of the greatest musicians that ever lived. With his legacy, the world celebrates May 11, the day Marley died. And in that regard, local artistes have organised a concert for all Reggae fans at One Love bar.Artistes expected to perform at the concert include Jay Polly, Jean Paul Samputu, Natty Dread and Sophia Nzayisenga among others to commemorate the icon, Bob Marley.Switzerland-based Rwandan Reggae singer Jah Bone D is also in the country to celebrate Bob Marley’s life. Born in Rwamagana, Eastern Province, Jah Bone D arrived in Kigali last weekend. Upon his arrival, the singer visited Kigali Memorial site and is expected to visit different Genocide memorial sites in the country. The two concerts organised by Mulindi Japan One Love Project are scheduled to take place on Friday and Saturday respectively. On Friday, the gig starts from 6pm until 10 pm, with the entrance at Rwf5000, while the Saturday concert is Rwf2000. Performances start from 3pm until 8pm on Saturday.About Bob Marley Nesta Robert "Bob" Marley, (6 February 1945 – 11 May 1981) was a Jamaican singer, songwriter and musician.
