Rwanda Football Association, (Ferwafa) plan to introduce a new competition, which will be named the Super Cup, officials have told Saturday Sport.According to Ferwafa vice president Raoul Gisanura, if the proposal is passed by the federation’s general assembly, the Super Cup will be contested by the top four teams in the league before the start of every season.Gisanura revealed that they (Ferwafa) are already on the look out for the sponsors of the competition."It’s still a proposal but very soon we will have a meeting with technicians to help us come up with the format of how the competition will be organised,” he said.He added: "It is good to have many competitions which help the teams and players to be on their best, and I think if this proposal is passed, it would be good for Rwandan football.” If endorsed Super Cup will be the third football competition in Rwanda after the national league and the Peace Cup knockout tournament.
