Editor,We have certainly come a long way in most fields since those days of the abyss in 1994, but let’s not kid ourselves, the notion that we could be a medical tourism destination any time soon (errr, perhaps in the next 30 years) will have a lot of people holding their ribs and rolling on the floor!

Editor,We have certainly come a long way in most fields since those days of the abyss in 1994, but let’s not kid ourselves, the notion that we could be a medical tourism destination any time soon (errr, perhaps in the next 30 years) will have a lot of people holding their ribs and rolling on the floor!You only have to listen to the horror stories from Rwandans who have had the misfortune to have to tangle with our "best” hospitals to understand the implausibility of any knowledgeable foreigner with means entrusting their lives with our medical professionals any time soon.
