The latest information reaching Times Sport has indicated that Amavubi Stars’ team prolific midfielder and Skipper Olivier Karekezi is eyeing for a move to Denmark Premier league club, Copenhagen FC.

Karekezi who is set to be a free agent in July 2008 is currently plying his skills in Swedish Allsvenskan Premier league with Helsingborg.
Copenhagen FC is currently second in the Danish SAS-Ligaen two points behind FC Midtjylland.

In the recent past Karekezi has been on the radar of Premiership club Wigan and Serie A fallen giants Parma Fc.

Karekezi is the country’s top scorer with three goals in the just concluded Nations’ Cup qualifiers.

He scored one goal during the 2-3 loss to Liberia in Monrovia; scored the lone goal during the 1-3 loss to Equatorial Guinea in Malabo and one goal during the 4-0 victory over Liberia over the weekend.

Commonly known as "Zidane” to his fans, Karekezi has scored five goals for his Sweden based club, Helsingborg in the Allsvenskan Premier league and has two goals in the Uefa Cup championship were Helsingborg pounced Drogheda United 4-0 in goal aggregates during both legs of the first round.
