Editor, we have to start with repossession of the properties of Genocide survivors – who are actually the legal owners. There are many houses still occupied by the same perpetrators (and their relatives) who committed the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

We have to start with repossession of the properties of Genocide survivors – who are actually the legal owners. There are many houses still occupied by the same perpetrators (and their relatives) who committed the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
It’s also disturbing to see how some survivors are terrified of reclaiming their properties fearing reprisals, and so they silently remain poor. We should, in fact, all be ashamed of that.
