APR coach eyes top four at Africa Club Championships

APR women volleyball team head coach Viateur Sibomana ‘Lado’ has set a target of finishing in the top four at this year’s Africa Volleyball club championships, which gets underway on Thursday in Madagascar.APR qualified for the two-week CAVB Championships after piping Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) to win this year’s national league."We will go there with calm heads as we have gained a lot of experience to win big games and if we can finish in the top four, it will be a successful story for us,” said former Blue Tigers skipper.He added, "To compete at this level is tough but they have been doing well in training which is a good sign for me, and I hope we will go there with strong character and mentality to achieve our target.”APR Squad; Carine Umugwaneza, Yvette Igihozo, (Setters) Atim Mutoni, Claudette Umugwaneza ‘Bucumu’, Grace Karigirwa, Emilienne Uwineza, Brigitte Mutakwampuhwe, Denyse Mutatsimpundu, Charlotte Nzayisenga, Angelique Uwibambe and Jeannette Niyigena.
