Goran has three months left on his current contract.

Police coach Goran Kuponovic’s contract will be extended when it expires in July, according to club chairman Alphonse Katarebe."We are pleased with Goran’s performance during his reign as Police FC coach. He guided the club to a second-place finish last year,” Katarebe told local press on Tuesday,"This year, the team is on course to win the Primus league title and if not finish second. So really, there is no reason why we should not renew his contract,” he added.Katarebe, however noted that even though he will not have a final say on the contract, he is supportive of Goran’s contract being renewed because he has been an exceptional coach in the history of Police FC.The Serb has been at the club for three years but without any trophy—his best record is reaching the Peace Cup final and finishing second in the league last season hence taking the club to their first appearance in the CAF Confederation Cup.Last weekend, Police blew the chance to leapfrog leaders Rayon Sport at the top of Primus National Football League after they both played out a 1-all draw.Rayon Sport leads the Primus league table with 42 points; one ahead of Police with six matches remaining.Police has six matches remaining to the end of the season. They include Etincelles, AS Muhanga, Musanze, Espoir, Amagaju and AS Kigali.
