APR   vs   Isonga FC Mukura  vs  Muhannga Bugesera  vs   Vision AS Kigali  vs  MusanzeRwanda football governing body Ferwafa in collaboration with Imbuto Foundation is spearheading the fight against malaria across the country through Peace Cup against Malaria tournament.According to Ferwafa chairman Celestin Ntagungira Abega, the aim of partnering with Imbuto Foundation it to raise awareness in the fight against Malaria and it will go a long way to assist the football fraternity in coming up with ideas of curbing out the disease."It is good to pass this massage to all Rwandans across the country so that they can understand the better ways of fighting malaria because it kills our children and pregnant women. We don’t want to see our players, fans, coaches and the general population falling sick with malaria. That why we have started the campaign to fight it,” Abega told Times Sport recently.Clement Ngoga Niyonzima, who is in charge of fighting against malaria at Imbuto Foundation, said that, "In our fight against malaria, we sponsored more competitions that cover the entire country and it is good to have this one too.”"A healthy society is crucial in developing sports in the country. That is why this organisation is putting money in the game to raise the awareness in the fight against malaria, we need people to sleep under mosquito nets because it is the easy way for curbing out Malaria,” he added.Imbuto has been playing a key role in sports since 2011 when Imbuto pumped Rwf97m in Sport Scolaire, and last year they sponsored Volleyball tournament with Rfw17m, while putting another Rfw11m in Karate tourney to fight against malaria.On Thursday Mukura beat Amagaju 1-0, while Isonga overcame Etincelles 1-0 to go through in quarter finals. The quarters are scheduled for April 16 and 17.
