Editor,This letter is with reference to the editorial in yesterday’s edition of The New Times, titled” Leadership Retreat : Public - Private partnership critical.” (The New Times March 29).The Government of Rwanda has provided the country with the right leadership which has enabled the people of this great nation to weather all storms over the last 19 years. But as you have very rightly explained, public - private partnership is critical and it is here where the people of Rwanda have always put their best foot forward to support Government initiatives. A case in point is the "one dollar campaign’’ announced some years ago or more recently the Agaciro Development Fund. The impetus provided by Government agencies like the Immigration Department which has made the online visa process so simple or even the Rwanda Development Board which completes the entire company registration process in just six hours, enables the private sector to provide the critical "partnership’’ leading to a win - win situation. For the new Rwanda, the EDPRS2 target of an average growth rate of 11.5 % is not an impossible dream!Clarence Fernandes
