Editor,Statements from Andrew Makaka, (the Director of Health , Financing in the Ministry of Health who is also in charge of Mutuelle de Santé), are in stark contrast with earlier statements that Mutuelle de Santé scheme was performing well financially or in terms of coverage as well as revenue collection. Why did it take a senatorial committee to uncover issues with the scheme?
