Editor, Agathe Kanziga’s interest in ensuring that the crime of bringing down (the late president Juvenal) Habyarimana’s aircraft and the murder of all on board is attributed to the then RPA (now RDF) is understandable. The more likely scenario put forward with implacable scientific substantiation that the missiles which brought down her husband’s plane were fired from an area tightly controlled by his Presidential Guard brings her directly into the frame as a major suspect in the crime, given her close links with the main extremist political and military leaders of the Akazu almost certainly responsible for organising the killing.Ms. Kanziga’s remaining option to avoid indictment for her own husband’s murder would be to contest the validity of Judges Trevidic and Poux’s findings or at least delay their formal acceptance for as long as possible hoping that, with time, she might eventually find a chink through which she might escape the inevitable reckoning.I believe she is going to be sorely disappointed with this strategy. In the meantime, we can also expect the falling out among the conspirators as she and the likes of Barril attempt to shift the entire responsibility for the crime on their erstwhile partner.Mwene Kalinda, KigaliReaction to the Editorial "Does the Habyarimana family want the truth?
