One of the theme nights that had disappeared from our entertainment calendar ‘Uganda Night’ is back. Imbaraga Internet Radio, the organiser of ‘Uganda Night’, confirmed that the night is back and will be hosted at Planet Club on March 30th.On that night, Ugandan R&B singer Maro, famous for the song "Biabe” will be in the country. He will perform alongside his country mates Express and Ray. The ‘Uganda Night’ started in August 2011 and has brought in Ugandan artistes such as Sizza Man, Piano Pound and Magla. According to Dennis Wasswa, Imbaraga Internet Radio boss, the ‘Uganda Night’ was initiated to promote and exchange Ugandan-Rwandan music.‘We introduced the ‘Night’ to bring music closer to the people after realising that Ugandan music was connected to that in Rwanda,” Wasswa noted.Entrance fee to Planet Club is Rwf 2,500. With 70,000 listeners, Imbaraga Internet Radio is the only online radio station that has an application that supports Blackberry, iPhone and Android phones.
