While Rwanda’s closest rivals APR FC and Rayon Sports continue to dominate the ongoing transfer market as they look to take the CAF Champions League and Confederation by storm next season, Musanze could begin new season without their striker in Luke Namada who has a number of offers on table to choose from.

APR FC announced their fifth signing in Cameroonian striker Apam Assongwe Bemol. The 22-year-old forward joined the Rwandan champions from Cameroonian outfit Apejes FC.

The army side’s transfer business took a new twist this window by acquiring the services of foreign players as they look to put their decade-long ‘homegrown players only’ policy aside in an attempt to end their continental club football failures.

Assongwe has already been capped by Cameroon at U20 level and was part of the young Indomitable Lions team which participated in the U20 AFCON in 2021. He also featured for Renaissance FC.

Namada nears Musanze exit

Striker Luke Namada is likely to leave Musanze FC as he considers future elsewhere.

The Kenyan attacker was one of the key players for the Northern Province-based side during the 2022/23 season as they finished 10th on the league table with 37 points.

Namada, who is currently in his native Nairobi for holidays, hinted that he might not return to Musanze FC with a host of clubs after his signature.
