What Rwandans say about Fespad

Jerome Mugabo – Cameraman Judging from the previous events, Fespad’s flame is slowly burning out. I honestly wish the event was left under the management of the Ministry of Culture since Fespad is culture too. Also, as much as RDB is trying to do a good job, the festival looks ill planned.

Abdoul Karim, Mvukiyehe –  Sound Technician I have been to all Fespad festivals from the beginning and I can honestly say Fespad this year is full of various new things such as the dance competition. Betty Mukamana – Cultural DancerThis year’s Fespad is not fun; in the past, top artistes like Brick and Lace performed at the opening. Keko rapped well on Sunday but we do not know her. What happened to Fespad?Vestine Uwibambe  – Street SweeperI liked this year’s Fespad. I did not have the chance to follow the others but I like this one so far. I love the Burundian drummers and the Rwandan National Ballet, the Urukerereza.
