Last weekend, we all thought dance hall sensation Beenie Man was jetting in the country, but we got that wrong. Rwanda Development Board (RDB), the organisers of the Pan African Dance Festival (FESPAD), wanted to keep the best for the last, and Beenie Man is booked for this weekend. Also in town for the closing ceremony of the eighth edition of FESPAD, is Nigerian rapper Ice Prince and Kenya-based Burundian maestro Kidumu.FESPAD beach party @ Kivu Serena HotelWith the 2013 FESPAD covering most parts of the country, Rubavu district will host one of the biggest nights of the dance festival. Tonight, Kidumu, Ice Prince, Uncle Austin, Dr. Claude and many other musicians are expected to perform at Kivu Serena Hotel, in a show dubbed ‘Beach Party’Local DJs Karim and Danches will help you groove all night. Entrance is Rwf 10,000 and the performances start at 9 p.m.FESPAD closing ceremony @ Amahoro stadiumJamaican dancehall ace, Beenie Man, will be the main act at the closing ceremony of FESPAD 2013, today, at Amahoro stadium. Other guest artistes expected to perform include Ice Prince and Kidum. Local musicians, such as, Babou, Chrispin, Princess Priscilla, Mico Band, Rafiki Coga, Moriah Band, Impala, Dream Boyz, and Tuff Gangz, will have a chance to share the stage with the stars.The ceremony is free and it starts at 3 p.m. Lemme Fly Party @ LemigoLemigo Hotel in Kimihurura is from today introducing a new theme night. The night titled ‘Lemme Fly Kigali Party’ will be held every first Friday of the month.Tonight’s party will feature an Azonto dance contest with the best walking away with two bottles of champagne. It starts at 10 p.m.  Entrance fee is Rwf5, 000.Corporate Night @ K-ClubIt’s all corporate at K-Club in Nyarutarama tonight. If your company hasn’t booked space for banners at the club by now, you might be too late. Anyway, you can call and find out because major companies and their employees are networking today at the club’s theme night called ‘Corporate Night’.Entrance fee is Rwf 5,000 and Rwf 10,000 in the ordinary and VIP sections, respectively.
