MINEDUC should have a firm grip on providing a good education

Editor, I’m appalled and disappointed that the Ministry of Education is holding students responsible for the corruption that has just been unearthed within the education system. Surely, the ministry of Education should not only have a firm hand on providing a good education to our children but also monitor those who are supposed to be delivering the same. Instead of celebrating his success, one boy I know is now bowing his head in shame because he was cheated by a so-called private candidate organisation. Money and future wasted. When and how will he ever have the opportunity again to get this far? Why aren’t these rogue head teachers in prison? Why are the students suffering? Why is REB not being investigated?Jay, Gasabo, KigaliReaction to the story, "Classes for A’ level private candidates suspended”, (The New Times, February 25).
