The Green Baggies join Police FC as the biggest preliminary round casualties.The Blues dominated proceedings against Rwamagana City and took a deserved lead in the 15th minute through Burundian international Fuadi Ndayisenga.Two minutes later, on-form striker Cedric Amissi, who signed in January, doubled the lead with a well-placed header off Karim Nizigiyimana cross.Ndayisenga made it 3-0 with his second of the day when he sent roaring shot from just inside the area which caught the whole Rwamagana defensive line and goalie off guard.The Blues, chasing their first silverware when they last won the league since 2005, charged from the half time break, and five minutes into the second period defender Faustin Usegimana got himself on the scoresheet with a superb sole effort.Striker Papy Kamanzi heaped misery on Rwamagana as he snatched a 20-minute treble in the 60th, 70th and 80th minute to put the result beyond doubt.The heaviest win of the day was registered at Mumena stadium as Primus league strugglers Etincelles thrashed second division side National University of Rwanda 8-0. Espoir beat Sorwathe 3-0 in Muhanga, while Interforce lost to fellow second division side Vision FC 0-1 at Ferwafa artificial turf.Amagaju secured a 2-1 win over Akagera, SEC Academy beat Gicumbi 1-0, while Aspor registered a 3-0 win over United Stars. The winner will represent Rwanda in the 2014 Caf Confederation Cup.Defending champions APR FC booked their place in the round of 16 after overcoming 10-man second division side Sunrise 4-0 on Saturday.But it was agony for last year’s runner-ups Police FC, who were knocked out by Primus National Football League rivals AS Muhanga 3-1 on penalties at Mumena Grounds after a goalless draw in normal time. Another Primus League side La Jeunesse was also ejected from the competition by second division side Pepiniere 5-3 on penalties shootout. Normal time had ended goalless.
