FESPAD 2013I am sure most of you are excited about the return of FESPAD. The Pan African Festival has not been here for more than two years but I am sure you all remember how much fun we had the last it was here. So wear your dancing shoes because all we are going to do this weekend is DANCE!You don’t have to be in Kigali because this year; FESPAD will reach all the districts across the country. A select number of troupes will be performing at district halls. They will include dance troupes from countries like Tanzania, Egypt, Uganda, Cameroun, Namibia, Liberia, Madagascar and Burundi. These dancers will be accompanied by some of your favourite local musicians. You can’t miss this! For those in Kigali, Beenie Man, Keko, Ice Prince and Kidumu will be flying in today for their performances tomorrow. They are scheduled to perform at Amahoro Stadium. Entrance is free and the show starts at 7pm. However, If you’re not a general happiness person, there are places that you’d be happy to spend the weekend and we got them lined up for you.Pubs and RestaurantsSome of you would love to sit down and have a quiet weekend at places with family and friends for a meal or a few drinks. The good thing about most of these places is that they play some nice music that can take you through the whole night.KGL Fast Food is not yet open to loud music but it has remained a favorite place to hang, especially if you want to get some burgers and pizzas with friends while drinking a few pints. With your family and friends, you can visit Cozy, located in Kacyiru. Chapter One, Ogopogo, and Sundowner, all are located in Kimihurura, have in-house DJs who play music till dawn and you can have food and breakfast at the same venues. Africa Bite is another beautiful restaurant in the neighborhood and it serves a wide range of African food. Those in Kicukiro can join DJ Gomez at Stone House just after Sonatube as he’ll be playing the best of today’s’ music.Football fans can also catch this weekend’s action at the Royal Car wash in Kimihurura. Night ClubsThere are many night clubs to party and dance all night but we shall select a few of them that suit this weekend. K Club in Nyarutarama, Golemi at Lemigo Hotel in Kimihurura, Planet Club at KBC, Black and White at Alpha Palace Hotel in Remera, and Legacy at Hotel Mille Collines, are some of the night clubs you should try out  this weekend.
