MAURITIAN ENTREPRENEURS will next month exhibit a range of products in Kigali, where they will also discuss joint venture opportunities with their Rwandan counterparts.Vivian Kayitesi, the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) head of investment, said the exhibition would strengthen trade relations between Rwanda and Mauritius."Preparations are in high gear and business people are looking forward to striking deals with the Mauritian delegation. We hope to sign partnership agreements on promoting trade and investments between the two countries,” she said about the "Buyer-Seller” meeting.The Mauritian industry and commerce minister, Cader Sayed-Hossen, will lead the 50-member business delegation. The event will be held at the Kigali Serena Hotel.Some of the products they will showcase include plastics, soaps, detergents, cosmetics, chemical products, fertilisers, pipes and fittings, furniture, footwear, books, T-shirts, Polo shirts, Jeans, children’s wear and printing services. Service sector operators, including ICT, education and training services will also showcase their services. Rwanda has since last year been forging trade bilateral ties with several countries as one way of finding markets for its products, a move that would enable the country earn more foreign exchange and reduce  the import bill.As a member of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), Mauritius has been promoting intra-regional trade and regional integration in Africa.
