Inclusion of civic education in the education system would cultivate good governance and leadership skills. The New Times / File.

Editor,This is in reaction to the article, "Students in governance promotion campaign”, (The New Times, February 19).I wish to thank Hon. Minister James Musoni for initiating the sensitisation campaign on good governance. I personally believe that the youth are the leaders of tomorrow. Good governance is made possible not only by good leaders but most importantly by a compliant and dutiful nation. Civic education should be part and parcel of any education system and where possible, students should take it upon themselves to come up with the right definition of what they perceive as good governance and take part in nation building by defining the means to achieve the overall goal and vision of our country, which is socio-economic development.H.B, Kigali
