Grace Elsie Ingabire crowned Miss SFB 2013

Grace Elsie Ingabire, a first year business student at the School of Finance and Banking (SFB) is ‘Miss SFB’ after beating six contestants on Saturday at the school’s conference hall.

Grace Elsie Ingabire, a first year business student at the School of Finance and Banking (SFB) is ‘Miss SFB’ after beating six contestants on Saturday at the school’s conference hall.The 21-year-old walked away with a cash prize of Rwf 200,000, and will also have a one week trip to France and Spain as Simba Super market’s Ambassador. Simba super market will cover her airfare. Ingabire also received a one year package of Sulfo Rwanda beauty products, a one year scholarship, and a night at Hilltop Hotel. She also won a one year free swimming pass at Sports View hotel among other prizes."This is unbelievable! Winning my school’s beauty pageant has always been my wish, and I am lucky to have finally achieved it,” Ingabire told The New Times shortly after the event. Faith Gasatura, a third year marketing student and Laurne Manzi, a business student were first and second runners-up respectively.Gasatura walked away with a Rwf 150,000 cash prize while Manzi received Rwf 100,000. They also won Sulfo Rwanda products for six months and free swimming at Sports View Hotel."I am happy that I was the first runner-up and I promise to work with the winner,” said Gasatura.Aline Mutoni took the Miss Popularity and Miss Photogenic slots while Sandrine Murerwa took Miss Congeniality. They received Rwf 50,000 and products from Simba Super market and Sulfo Rwanda.  Questions to test the intelligence of the girls were asked in Kinyarwanda although the contestants were allowed to respond either in English, French or Kinyarwanda.The event was graced by various local musicians including Amag the Black, Audy Kelly, Ricky Password, Urban Boys and TBB. The event was organised by Rwanda Inspiration Back Ltd and sponsored by Simba Super market, Sulfo Rwanda, New Kigali Design and Braliwa among others.The event, meant to start at 6:30pm, started at 8:00pm due to power problems and ended at 1:00am.
