Rwanda’s Emmanuel Ruterana’s campaign in the Barclays Kenya Open ended prematurely as he failed to make the cut in the lucrative tournament on Friday at the Karen Country Club outside NairobiRuterana shot a second round 75 to amass an overall score of 159 which left him out of the 62 players, who contested in third (Saturday) and Sunday’s fourth round. On Thursday, Ruterana who was gunning to make the cut after two failed campaigns shot 13 over par 84. With a poor performance at the start of the year, Rwanda’s top professional golfer will have to devise means of doing better in future tournaments.Spain’s Jordi Garcia Pinto and Tim Sluiter of Netherlands will put their friendship aside when they battle it out in the final group on Championship Sunday.The Spaniard’s three under par 68 elevated him to the top alongside Sluiter on ten under, three shots clear of the nearest challengers.Brooks Koepka of the USA and Scotland’s George Murray were in tied second place on seven under after they carded rounds of 68 and 71, respectively.
