Editor,I WAS delighted to read your article titled, "Tourism college launches business incubation centre”, in a recent issue of The New Times. The Rwanda Tourism University College (RTUC) has always been extremely pro-active and attuned to the needs of the travel and tourism industry. The new business incubation will boost Rwanda’s travel and tourism industry which, today, is one of the largest foreign exchange earners for the country. Education is always important. But what is crucial is to enable the educated youth to secure gainful employment and provide them opportunities for entrepreneurship development.RTUC has done just that. With such initiatives and increased levels of customer service taught at leading tourism institutions in the country, Rwanda will continue to be a much sought after land of a thousand hills and a million smiles. The Indian Merchants Chamber, a premier chamber of commerce and industry, would be happy to assist RTUC in whatever way possible.Wishing RTUC every success in its new initiative.Clarence Fernandes
