Bralirwa pumps Rwf104m into Agaciro devt fund

OVER Rwf104m has been injected into the Agaciro Development Fund initiative by leading brewer, Brassle-Bralirwa.Finance Minister John Rwagombwa, who received the dummy cheque, lauded the Bralirwa staff for contributing to the Fund."I thank all the staff of Bralirwa for their relentless effort towards the development of this country,” Rwangombwa said, adding that the firm was one of the private companies that had contributed handsomely to the Fund.In October last year, Bralirwa employees raised Rwf84,277,859 among themselves to support the initiative. The company had earlier pledged Rwf20m, which pushed the total contribution to Rwf104,277,859. The dummy cheque was handed over to the minister on Wednesday. "I take this opportunity to thank the Private Sector Federation for enabling us to make our contribution towards the development of this country,” Jonathan Hall, the Bralirwa managing director, said. Rwangombwa lauded the privated sector for contributing to the country’s growth targets."We have been able to achieve our economic growth targets of last year despite the turmoil we went through. When you look at the figures, the private sector performed more than we expected,” added Rwangombwa.
