Rasta Man Vibration show marred by low turn-up

The long awaited event aimed at celebrating the birthday of reggae icon Bob Marley, got suffocated by a low turn up of revellers,  last Friday night, at Bamboo restaurant, located on top of T-2000 building in Kigali City centre .

The long awaited event aimed at celebrating the birthday of reggae icon Bob Marley, got suffocated by a low turn up of revellers,  last Friday night, at Bamboo restaurant, located on top of T-2000 building in Kigali City centre .The show,  dubbed "Rasta man vibration Jam down,”   kicked  off  at 10:30pm (thirty minutes late from the scheduled time) with the playing of an endless list of  the  legends’   "jams”  like: Natural mystic, Three little birds, Buffallo soldier, No woman no cry,  so on and so forth, then followed by the cutting of cake inscribed with the icon’s name as a gesture of celebrating his life.The few revellers, most of them, clad in long dreads,  beads, arm bands  and the rest of the Rastafarian attire, enthusiatically  sang along to every hit. The entire  theatre was peppered  with   Rastafarian lingua and  flag colours: green, yellow and red.The  event was aimed  to celebrate the life of reggae hero Bob Marley, who was born on February 6, 1945, and died  on May  11, 1981 , after  succumbing to a cancer attack.The show ended at 3am and entrance fee was Rwf 3000.
