Fina junior account attracts hundreds

More than 200 parents have opened Fina Junior account at Fina Bank. ‘Fina Junior’ accounts are packages designed for account holders of up to the age of 21 years. The package is also mainly targeting savings for children’s education. A statement from Fina Bank said, “The savings product launched in May this year to encourage parents to set aside some funds as education of a child is one of the greatest gifts that a parent can give children.”

More than 200 parents have opened Fina Junior account at Fina Bank. ‘Fina Junior’ accounts are packages designed for account holders of up to the age of 21 years. The package is also mainly targeting savings for children’s education.

A statement from Fina Bank said, "The savings product launched in May this year to encourage parents to set aside some funds as education of a child is one of the greatest gifts that a parent can give children.”

"Rwanda’s over all population comprises of a large number of children, therefore there is every reason to look after their needs especially in areas of healthcare, general safety and above all, education,” it adds. 

Fina junior account

The initial amount one can save is Frw10, 000 and after, a parent can add a minimum of Frw5,000 monthly.
