Famous ADEPR pastor, Theogene Niyonshuti, who died in a car accident in Uganda was laid to rest on Wednesday, June 28, in a somber event that attracted thousands of mourners.

Niyonshuti met his untimely demise in a severe road accident in Uganda. The requiem mass, held at ADEPR Nyarugenge, as his followers paid their last respects.

In her emotional address, Assia Uwanyana, the widow of Pastor Theogene Niyonshuti, reassured their children that their beloved father had found solace in a better place. Determined to carry on his legacy of compassion, she made a heartfelt promise to fulfill their needs to the best of her ability.

She fondly remembered Niyonshuti as a philanthropist who tirelessly provided for the less fortunate. From feeding hungry street children to supporting teenage mothers with essential supplies, including food, clothes, and even rent, his endeavors touched the lives of many. Uwanyana emphasized that his passing would not hinder her determination to continue his charitable work, as she vowed to draw strength from her faith in God and do everything within her power to make a difference.

Pastor Vedaste Habyarimana, Regional Pastor of the Gicumbi Region, shared heartfelt sentiments about the late Pastor Theogene Niyonshuti. Habyarimana fondly recalled Niyonshuti as a man who effortlessly captivated the hearts of the masses through his unique approach to teaching the Bible. His teachings not only encompassed all aspects of life but also resonated deeply with the youth, making him a beloved figure within the community.

Reflecting on his extensive experience, Habyarimana expressed that he had traveled to numerous countries, yet it was Rwanda that stood out as a remarkable testament to its citizens&039; love and support. He highlighted how the country had extended unwavering assistance in every possible way to help retrieve Niyonshuti's body, showcasing the compassion and solidarity that permeated Rwandan society.

Theogene Niyonshuti leaves behind a profound legacy as a beloved pastor within the ADEPR community. Survived by his wife, Assia Uwanyana, and their four biological children, Niyonshuti's family was also responsible for caring for approximately a dozen foster children. His devotion to his congregation and the broader community will forever be remembered, inspiring others to follow in his charitable footsteps.
