SC Kiyovu maintained their impressive assault on the national football league title with a slim 2-1 win over AS Muhanga at Mumena Stadium yesterday.  The Greens have veteran striker Bokota Kamana Labama to thank for the 67th minute winner to cancel out Eric Yirirwahandi’s equaliser twenty minutes earlier. Rising star, Mhadjili Hakizimana, (Haruna Niyonzima’s younger brother) opened the scoring for Kiyovu from a spot kick after skipper Eric Serugaba was brought down in the fortieth minute to keep Jean Baptist Kayiranga’s side at the summit of the league log with twenty five points from 13 games.   Before hitting the winner, Bokota and Serugaba had wasted several chances to put the game beyond Muhanga’s reach.Set piece specialist Jabir Mutarambirwa was at hand to provide Bokota with the match winning assist from a well taken free-kick.    City Council side, AS Kigali, also recorded an away 2-0 win against Marine to remain second on the league table with 24 points.
